Anti-Corruption and Human Rights Education and Training
To implement the integrity education at Atemitech Corporation, and to strengthen the advocacy of international anti-corruption trends, Atemitech Corporation has incorporated anti-corruption and human rights education into the mandatory training for its employees. A unified curriculum has been prepared, covering the introduction of the UN Convention against Corruption, practical codes of corporate governance, codes of conduct for employee ethics, confidentiality of significant information and prohibition of insider trading, guidelines for collaboration with suppliers, and measures for reporting and punishing corruption and misconduct. In the labor and human rights section, it includes protection of employee rights, such as legality of working hours and prohibition of forced labor, ban on child labor, gender equality in work, and elimination of sexual harassment. The anti-corruption courses are conducted on a rolling basis, and apart from being compulsory for new employees during induction, all employees are re-trained every year to emphasize the importance of human rights and anti-corruption, and they regularly receive such education and training.
Whistleblower System
To prevent unlawful activities and maintain the normal operations of the company, Atemitech Corporation has established a comprehensive whistleblower system under the 'Regulations on Reporting Corruption and Malfeasance.' An investigative committee is formed within three days of receiving a report by the audit unit. The committee, convened by the audit unit, consists of representatives from the legal, audit, and HR departments, as well as the chief supervisor of the involved personnel. If any misconduct is confirmed, the responsible units are ordered to improve within a specified time frame, and the negligent individuals are punished according to the law, with efforts made to seek compensation for damages to set an example. The company has established a mailbox for reporting violations of integrity and ethical conduct, accessible to internal and external personnel for reporting irregularities, and it is detailed in supplier contracts. Whistleblowers are awarded NT$200,000 or 5% of the amount of loss as a reward for resolved cases. The audit unit must keep all reports, transcripts, or other related materials confidential, storing them separately. Unauthorized disclosure leads to penalties under the company's disciplinary measures. The safety of whistleblowers is protected by the company, and threats, intimidation, or other unlawful acts against them are subject to severe penalties according to the law.
